All Baku central roads to close since 22 April

April 8, Fineko/abc.az. From 22 April all the central roads of the Azerbaijani capital are going to close in connection with the holding of F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku.

According to the F1 racing organizers, the Baku central streets will be closed for traffic from 22 to 30 April. The F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix is scheduled for 26-28 April.

"That will not prevent pedestrian traffic - residents and guests of Baku will be able to move freely, using land and underground passages," the organizers say.

Temporary land crossings will be installed at the intersection of Azerbaijan Avenue and Istiglaliyat Street, as well as at the intersection of the Khagani and Rashid Beybutov streets, Khagani Street and Azadlig Avenue, Neftchilar Avenue and Rashid Beybudov Street.

The territory of the National Seaside Park (from the Baku Sea Terminal to the Azneft Circle), where the F1 entertainment zone will be located during the race, will be closed to persons without tickets from 8 am on 24 April to 29 April.

"In connection with the concert program of the race weekend in the Crystal Hall concert complex, the road from Azneft Circle to the State Flag Square will be closed to motor vehicles on 27 April and 28 from 5 pm till 4 pm," the organizers inform.
