Central Bank’s blockchain project presented at international summit

April 9, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has presented a pilot system of digital identification on the basis of blockchain at Future Blockchain Summit, held in Dubai.
An exhibition of modern innovative solutions such as blockchain, Internet of things, big data, artificial intelligence, etc. was held at the summit, which was attended by 170 exhibitors and 14,000 participants from the United States, Germany, UAE, England, China, Russia, Estonia, Malta and other countries. Presentations were made about the real application of these innovations in various ecosystems.

At the summit, the audience was informed about the purpose and benefits that can be achieved as a result of Central Bank’s project on blockchain-based digital identification system, created within the framework of the "State program on the expansion of digital payments in Azerbaijan 2018-20".
The information system, created within the framework of joint cooperation with IBM and Lenovo, will ensure a full range of banking services and electronization of client-bank relations.
