Smoking persons in a taxi to be fined

April 17, Fineko/abc.az. The amendments to the Law on Road Traffic, introduced by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev from 15 April 2019, envisage the prohibition of smoking in educational, health and sanatorium facilities, in their territories, places of work, in the halls for sports competitions and other mass events, in restaurants, cafes and bars, as well as public catering facilities and other places.

Besides, the mechanism of penalty for persons smoking in a taxi has been endorsed. Under the new law, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and traffic police will fine smokers.
