Rate of Chinese tourists visiting Azerbaijan increased by 53%

April 18, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan pays great attention to the development of the tourism industry.

The statement was made by President Ilham Aliyev in an interview with Chinese agency Xinhua.

"In recent years we’ve made significant progress in this direction. The number of Chinese tourists visiting Azerbaijan has increased by 53%. Azerbaijan is applying simplified visa procedure for Chinese citizens. Visa can be obtained at the international airports of Azerbaijan. There are regular direct flights between Azerbaijan and China," President Aliyev said.

He pointed out that relationships with China are one of the priorities of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy.
