November 28, Fineko/abc.az. Today, President Ilham Aliyev has endorsed the State Program on silkworm breeding & processing of silkworm cocoons for 2018-25.

The program aims to foster sericulture in the country, increase export potential in this area and employment growth among the rural population.

The decree tasks the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy to allocate annual financing from the State Budget and within the State Investment Program for the promotion of sericulture.

The Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Economy should provide annual information to the country’s president on the course of actions envisaged by the sericulture program.
