Azerbaijan limits poultry import from Russia


April 26, Fineko/abc.az. The Food Safety Agency has released a warning for the population with the purpose to protect the territory of Azerbaijan from infectious diseases of animals that can be transported from other countries.

The warning says that in connection with Newcastle disease in the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation and the Stavropol Krai, the World Organization for Animal Health (UNWTO) imposed a temporary restriction on the import of live birds and poultry products from the Chechen Republic and the Stavropol Krai of the Russian Federation.
