May 15, Fineko/abc.az. Starting from last May Azerbaijan has issued more than 376,000 e-visas at international airports through the Asan visa system.

The State Agency for Citizen Service & Social Innovations (Asan) informs that visas were granted to citizens of the UAE, South Korea, China, Iran, Israel, Indonesia, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Turkey and Japan, as well as to delegations of the diplomatic missions and delegations to international sporting events.

"The time for issuing e-visas, which are given by self-service terminals and provide information in seven languages, is only 2 minutes," the Agency said.

More than 1,222 million visas have been given since the beginning of activity of ASAN Visa, including over 376,000 visas in e-form. This year, the number of applications for e-visas has increased by 72%.

Azerbaijan has been giving e-visas from 15 May 2018.
