May 21, Fineko/abc.az. The number of field tax inspections has decreased almost by three times last year against 2017.

In Q1 of 2019 there was 3-fold less on-site tax audits compared with the same term of 2018. This was announced by Tax Minister Mikayil Jabbarov.

He added that despite all this, implementation of the tax plan exceeded the forecast: "This means that there is trust to the state and preference to work transparently in business. We are going to continue creating such conditions".

The minister also stressed that the Institute of Tax Ombudsman has been established at the Ministry of Taxes in order to ensure all-round protection of taxpayer rights.

"Ensuring transparency is a priority, and in this sense we are doing our best," the minister emphasized.
