June 3, Fineko/abc.az. Today, the Ministry of Economy and the State Tourism Agency organized at the Baku Business Center a conference on the theme "The prospects of tourism development in Azerbaijan & expanding access of entrepreneurs working in this field to subsidized financial resources of the state".

The purpose of the event was to cover the prospects for development of the tourism sector and the effectiveness of the use of subsidized loans given to promote to tourism by the Entrepreneurship Development Fund of the Ministry of Economy.

Deputy Economy Minister Sahib Mammadov said that along with other measures aimed at supporting the development of tourism, the possibility of using subsidized loans was expanded.

He noted that so far the EDF has allocated subsidized loans in the amount of AZN 45.5 million to finance 202 investment projects, and 4,640 new jobs have been created at the expense of those projects.
