Baku hosts regional seminar Information Model of World Customs Organization


June 10, Fineko/abc.az. Regional seminar "Information Model" of the World Customs Organization (WCO) is taking place in Baku today.

The seminar is attended by experts and representatives from 17 countries.

Addressing to the seminar, Customs Committee’s deputy chair Igbal Babayev said that Eastern Europe and Asia are very interested in the creation of this system.

The seminar participants will discuss the strategic benefits of the adoption of the WTO Information Model, the global agenda in relation to customs and data adaptation, the need for standardization, ensuring reasonable borders and other topics.

According to the State Customs Committee, the seminar will last until 11 June.
