Oil has increased sharply in price

June 19, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani oil Azeri Light has grown in price by $0.76 (1.2%) up to $64.11 a barrel.

After a sharp rise on Tuesday, which became a record for WTI oil for the last 5 months, oil prices of standard grades moderately grew during trading on Wednesday.

Following Tuesday’s trading at the London ICE (InterContinental Exchange Futures; ICE Futures) the price of August’s futures of Brent oil increased by $1.20 (1.97%) up to $62.14 a barrel.

The Brent oil grew in price by $0.15 (0.24%) up to $62.29 a barrel by 09:15 am on Wednesday.

Following the 18 June trading at the New York Merchant Exchange (NYMEX), the WTI oil futures for July jumped in price by $1.97 (3.79%) up to $53.90 a barrel.

In Wednesday’s trading the cost of WTI oil futures for July grew in price by $0.16 (0.3%) up to $54.06 a barrel by 09:15 am.
