Rufat Mammadov: This year number of entrepreneurs engaged in foreign trade grew by 74%

June 19, Fineko/abc.az. Export in the non-oil sector grew by 36.5% for 2017-2018 and by 17.8% for past 5 months of 2019.

Over the past period of this year the export of agricultural products and processing increased by 37.6%.

The relevant statement was made by Deputy Economy Minister Rufat Mammadov.

The deputy minister pointed out that industrial parks, along with other mechanisms in this area, play an important role in the growth of non-oil export and said that farm products for AZN 267 million of about farm produce for AZN 1.4 bn was exported.

Mammadov stressed that the range of export products is growing, and Azerbaijan exported goods of 2,166 names to foreign markets.

"At the same time, the number of participants in foreign economic activity is growing. So, for 5 months of this year the number of entrepreneurs engaged in foreign trade grew by 74% up to 18,400," Mammadov emphasized.
