Economy Minister: French companies have invested $2.2 bn in Azerbaijan

July 11, Fineko/abc.az. Today, Baku is hosting the Azerbaijani-French Business Forum.

Addressing to the forum, Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev stated that so far French companies have invested $2.2 billion in the economy of Azerbaijan, while the latter $2.6 bn in France.

He noted that 45 French companies are operating in Azerbaijan. French companies participated as contractors in 34 projects financed from the budget of Azerbaijan and worth $6.2 bn.

The minister also stressed that the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and France grew by 53% for the first 5 months of this year. Azerbaijan accounts for 62.4% of France's trade turnover in the South Caucasus.
