Population`s term deposits in banks decreased

July 31, Fineko/abc.az. The population’s term deposits in banks have decreased, says the monthly report of the Financial Market Supervision Authority (FIMSA).

Thus, on 30 June 2019 the retail term deposits totaled AZN 5.337 bn. The figure is by AZN 128.4 million less than at the end of this March and by AZN 141.6 million less than at the end of 2018. Compared with the end of May, the term deposits reduced by AZN 43.4 million in June of this year.

The term deposits amounted to AZN 5.479 bn at the end of last December, AZN 5.465 bn at the end of March and AZN 5.38 bn at the end of May.

The bank deposit agreement is concluded on the terms of demand deposit or after the expiration of the term established by the agreement on deposit (term deposit). The term deposit is more important for the sector.
