August 7, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes has reported that transparency processes in the country are manifested in the dynamics of growth of turnover passing through the banking sector. A clear proof of that is decrease in the amount of cash on bank accounts of taxpayers, as well as a 2.3-fold rise in the balance on the VAT deposit account of enterprises of the non-state sector.

The balance of funds in the current manat accounts of private sector enterprises in Azerbaijani banks increased by 49% against the 2018 same term, and since the beginning of this year by 20%, that testifies about significant expansion of non-cash transactions and transparency of turnover in the country.

The number of bank accounts of individual entrepreneurs increased by 20.6% and legal entities by 29.3% in June 2019 (versus June 2018).
