Scientific-technical progress leads to devaluation of many existing professions

December 8, Fineko/abc.az. Baku has hosted today conference "Use of professional standards for development of workforce in Azerbaijan".

Labour Minister Salim Muslimov says that only 32% of the able-bodied population in Azerbaijan has qualified professions.

"Unemployed job-seekers do not meet the requirements of the modern labor market that creates difficulties in the employment. On the other hand, technological progress leads to the devaluation of many existing professions. Professional standard is a key tool for recruitment and career planning, strengthening of capacity of staff, job satisfaction and employment opportunities," the minister said.
