Volume of PASHA Bank’s bad loans reached 13%

Azerbaijan’s commercial bank PASHA Bank forecasts lower level of its problem loans.

At today’s news conference Bank’s member of board Khayala Nagiyeva has claimed that by the end of 2016 the share of problem loans in the total portfolio of PASHA Bank amounted to 12%.

"At the end of the 1st half of 2017 the volume of bad loans rose up to 13.1% at the expense of loans previously given to the companies involved in the construction sector," Nagiyeva said.

She added that currently those companies aspire to raise foreign investments and working over that, and in this regard, before the end of 2017 we expect decline in the level of problem loans due to restoration of those clients’ activity.
