September 11, Fineko/abc.az. Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev noted  in an interview with reporters that Azerbaijan will create a logistics center in Yekaterinburg.

The minister noted that an Azerbaijani-Russian business forum will be held in Baku on September 12 with the participation of business people from both sides. A memorandum will be signed at the business forum.

“An important document will be signed between the Association of Manufacturers and Exporters of Fruits and Vegetables of Azerbaijan and the company of the Sverdlovsk Region from the point of view of organizing work on the supply of fruit and vegetable products to our logistics center,” the minister said.

“We believe that this direction is also very interesting from the point of view of the development of Azerbaijani-Russian trade relations,” the Minister of Economy emphasized.

Shahin Mustafayev said that Azerbaijan has the potential to double the supply of fruits and vegetables to Russia.

“The analysis conducted within the framework of a bilateral intergovernmental commission showed that Azerbaijan can almost double the volume of exports of fruits and vegetables to Russia,” Mustafayev said.

According to him, following the results of 2018, Azerbaijan exported 555,000 tons of fruits and vegetables to Russia.

“We think that it is possible to bring this figure to 1 million tons,” the minister added.
