Oil rising at a record pace

September 16, Fineko/abc.az. On Monday, oil prices surge 9-10% after attacks on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia, which led to a loss of about 6% of world crude production.

As a result of trading on September 13 at the London ICE Futures exchange, the price of the November Brent crude futures dropped by $0.16 (0.26%) to $ 60.22 per barrel. On Monday, at 9:00 a.m., November Brent futures jumped $6.07 (10.08%) to $66.29 per barrel.

As a result of trading on September 13 at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), the October WTI oil futures fell $0.24 (0.44%) to $54.85 per barrel. On Monday, at 9:00 the price of the October WTI oil futures increased by $4.95 (9.01%) settling at  $59.80 per barrel.

Report's of a new attack on the oil facilities of Saudi Arabia came on Saturday with the country's largest oil refinery Abkayk and the large Khurais oil field  attacked by drones. As a result, oil production was suspended in the amount of 5.7 million barrels per day (b/c), that is, about half of the total volume produced in the country.
