September 16, Fineko/abc.az. Over eight months of this year, AZN 3,261,500,000 was allocated to the oil and gas sector of the country, the State Statistics Committee said.

It is noted that in the oil and gas sector in January-August, products worth AZN 20,492,600,000 were produced. Production in the oil and gas sector increased by 0.3% compared to the same month last year. Added value in the oil and gas sector increased by 1.6%.

70% of industrial production is in the mining sector.

In August, prices for industrial products decreased by 5.1% compared to the previous month, including in the mining industry - by 6.8%.

Since the beginning of last month, 34,700 people worked in the oil sector of the economy. In January-July, nominal wages in the oil sector amounted to AZN 3,101.6.
