Azerkosmos signs contract with African company


September 18. Fineko/abc.az. Within the framework of the international exhibition and conference IBC 2019, held in Amsterdam on September 12-16, Azerkosmos signed a contract with Intersat, a company offering Internet solutions via satellite in the African region.

It is reported that, according to the agreement, Azerkosmos will provide reliable communication throughout the African continent - the Internet, network, sound, video, mobile and other data services via Azerspace-2 satellite. Thus, the Azerspace-2 satellite will contribute to addressing the problem of access to digital information in remote regions of Africa.

Currently, Azerbaijan’s telecommunications satellites - Azerspace-1 and Azerspace-2 provide the Internet to 2/3 of the African continent. Africa is the main business geography of Azerkosmos, and the company cooperates with leading telecommunication companies in this region.
