December 13, Fineko/abc.az. Import of cars in Azerbaijan has doubled for the last 11 months.

The State Customs Committee (SCC) reports that import of motor vehicles in Azerbaijan for Jan–Nov 2017 amounted to 9,828 cars that is 2-fold more than for the same term of 2016 (4,820 cars).

According to the SCC, the largest number of motor vehicles imported in Azerbaijan for the past 11 months of the year accounted for automobiles and other transportation vehicles designed for passenger carriages - 8,527 vehicles.

Over Jan-Nov 2017 Azerbaijan also imported 1,014 motor vehicles intended for cargo transportation and 68 motor vehicles of special purpose.

In addition, during the reporting period the country imported 169 motor vehicles designed for transportation of 10 or more people.
