September 30, Fineko/abc.az. The insurance companies operating in Azerbaijan gathered premiums for AZN 469.8 million and paid compensations for AZN 175.5 million for the past 8 months of 2019. 

The press service of the Financial Market Supervision Authority (FIMSA) reports that premiums amounted to AZN 315.6 million and compensation payments AZN 124.1 million on voluntary insurance, while the indicators on compulsory insurance AZN 154.2 million and AZN 51.4 million respectively.

Over Jan-Aug 2019 the share of voluntary insurance premiums made up 67.2% and compulsory insurance premiums 32.8%. 70.7% of insurance compensations formed due to voluntary and 29.3% due to compulsory insurance.
