October 4, Fineko/abc.az. Currently, the banking sector of Azerbaijan is numbering 7.2 million cards. 

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant statement was made by Zakir Nuriyev, the president of the Azerbaijan Banks Association, at the 6th Investor Fair dedicated to theme "Microfinance at the Crossroads: Sustainable Development in the Digital Age". He stressed that compared with last August, according to statistics for August 2019, the non-cash payments in the country increased by 58%. 
Nuriyev also touched the matter of digitalization in the banking sector: "Today we must take into account the digitalization of the microfinance sector, including in connection with the wishes of the society, and to achieve the creation of a legal framework.  We’re ready to provide all necessary support for that."
