October 4, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan rendered credit services in the field of micro loans in the amount of about AZN 4 bn.

ABC.AZ informs that the statement was made by Suleyman Keleshov, a member of board of the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association, at the 6th Investor Fair devoted to theme "Microfinance at the Crossroads: Sustainable Development in the Digital Age". 

According to Keleshov, 500,000 people have received micro-loans so far: "Taking into account the fact that each family has at least 2 people, this means that 2 billion people have used micro loan services."
Keleshov also raised the matter of the current state, infrastructure and opportunities for the development of the microfinance sector in the country, the need to use digital solutions in the modern period. He also spoke about sustainable development in Azerbaijan.
