October 8, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of Azerbaijani gas transported to Turkey via Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TANAP) amounted to 2.7 bn cu m until the end of September 2019, stated TANAP consortium’s CEO Saltuk Duzyol at a press conference in Istanbul.
"When making the final investment decision on the project, the total costs were estimated at $11.7 bn. 45% was saved as a result of maximum efficiency during the construction phase. The project was completed with an investment of $6.5 bn," Duzyol said.
The commissioning ceremony of the first phase of TANAP gas pipe (from the Georgian-Turkish border to Eskishehir) took place on 12 June 2018, and commercial deliveries of Azerbaijani gas via TANAP began on 30 June of the same year. Since 1 July 2019 Azerbaijan has been put in state of readiness for transportation of natural gas to Europe.
