Deposit portfolio of Baku branch of National Bank of Iran lowered by about 40%

October 14, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past period of 2019 the loan portfolio of the Baku branch of the National Bank of Iran has grown by 21.4%.

ABC.AZ reports that it is shown in NBI’s financial indicators for Jan-Sept 2019.

According to NBI’s report, during this period Bank’s liabilities increased by 30.6% up to AZN 55.75 million. The deposit portfolio of the Bank, whose liabilities have grown, fell by 39.7% to AZN 5.236 million. The decrease affected not only the deposit portfolio, but also the balance sheet capital of the Bank, which for the reported term reduced by 52.1% to AZN 33.835 million.

The Baku-based NBI branch has been operating since 1993. Its authorized capital is AZN 73.611 million.
