October 24, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan with an estimated score of 76.7 ranks 34th among 190 countries in World Bank’s report Doing Business 2020.

According to the report, Azerbaijan was awarded this place for four reforms implemented in Doing Business 2020: Real Estate Registration; Obtaining a Loan; Protecting Minority Investors; and Enforcing Contracts.

By expanding the coverage of the Azerbaijani cadastre and digitizing cadastral plans, the registration of real estate has become easier and more transparent.

Azerbaijan has settled both general description of debts and obligations, out-of-court enforcement of security interests.

By holding directors responsible for unprofitable agreements signed by the parties, the protection of minority investor rights was strengthened.

Azerbaijan has simplified the execution of contracts by adopting a joint law on voluntary mediation and the introduction of an electronic system allowing complaints to be filed electronically.
