October 24, Fineko/abc.az. The retail deposits amounted to AZN 8.49 million for September 2019.

ABC.AZ informs that the data is covered by Financial Market Supervision Authority’s (Fimsa) report on financial performance in the banking sector.

According to the report, these figures mean an increase of 2.7% (AZN 221.6 million). The growth occurred due to demand deposits. Another positive trend is the increase in deposits in the national currency by 21.8% (AZN 665.3 million). Deposits in foreign currency, on the contrary, decreased by 8.5% (AZN 443.7 million). Total deposits of legal entities grew by 12.2% (AZN 1.259 bn) up to AZN 11.57 million for Jan-Sept. The rise was reached due to term deposits. Since the beginning of the year the term deposits have increased by 86.3% (AZN 1.25 bn) up to AZN 2.7 million.
