ABC.AZ reports that the relevant statement was made by Central Bank’s chairman Elman Rustamov at a news conference held in connection with the announcement of the parameters of the interest rate corridor.

He noted that certain stability has been achieved in the banking and financial sectors: "Restructuring with the manat has already been carried out, and this is one of the serious issues in the banking sector," CBA chair added.

Rustamov did not hide that there are certain problems in the banking sector and spoke about the upcoming work: "There are certain standards on the expansion of the securities market. We’ll try to develop further and achieve growth of the securities market. Also, one of our tasks was to solve the issue of external debt, and we did it. This is important to prevent external shocks. Currently, discussions are underway in this direction.
