October 31, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept of the year population's debts to credit institutions increased almost by AZN1 bn.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to Central Bank’s statistics that population’s debts to credit institutions are not limited to that.

Thus, over the past 20 months the debt grew by around AZN 1.8 bn and reached AZN 6.29 bn. According to statistics, for Jan-Sept 2019 population’s debts to credit institutions in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 1.223 bn, at the end of September AZN 14.243 bn. The debt growth is linked by 80% or AZN 972 million with consumer loans.

At the end of September, loans to households (consumer loans) totaled AZN 6.29 bn or 44.2% of credit investments in the amount of AZN 14.243 bn.

At the end of August the share of loans in household lending made up 43.9% and at the end of last year 40.9%. Thus, the share of consumer loans in total lending increased by 3.3 points.
