November 4, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Sept 2019 the facilities with a total area of 1.9 million sq m were built and put into operation in Georgia, reports the National Statistical Service of Georgia.

For the first 9 months the volume of commissioned buildings increased by 32.3% compared to the same period of last year. Most of the facilities were put into operation in Tbilisi, Kakheti and Kartli-Kvemo regions.

During the reporting period municipal authorities permitted the construction of 7,800 facilities with a total area of 5.6 million sq m. Compared with Jan-Sept 2018, the number of issued permits grew by 1.3%, and the area by 23.9%.

It is interesting that among the construction companies there are also Azerbaijani companies. Today, more than 10 Azerbaijani companies are engaged in construction works in Georgia. Among the facilities built by these companies are multi-storey residential complexes, factories and hotel buildings.

Currently, Tbilisi has a large number of multi-storey residential buildings built by Azerbaijani companies.

There are a large number of hotels, factories and other buildings constructed by Azerbaijani companies and businessmen on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Ajara and in the Kvemo-Kartli region.
