Student smart cards to be used also at secondary schools - Alim Guliyev

November 6, Fineko/abc.az. A number of measures are being taken to improve the banking sector and the financial literacy, stated Central Bank’s deputy chairman Alim Guliyev at 4th International Banking Forum "Cashless Economy: Towards Sustainable Banking".

Speaking about digitalization, the deputy chair touched upon the matter of new project of the student smart card.

Talking about the importance of the project, Guliyev pointed out that the card provides access for students to the international financial world and told about other projects of the Central Bank: "In this regard, we’ve started extensive work. These cards will be applied not only for students, but also for secondary school pupils. In doing so, we’ll encourage pupils to participate in the financial world from an early age, starting from secondary schools. Also, the Central Bank successfully continues the project of non-cash cooperation with organization Master Card and in this regard does not activate the work".
