Number of new jobs announced - more than 164,000


November 21, Fineko/abc.az. 164,400 new jobs were opened in Azerbaijan for 9 months.

ABC.AZ reports that with reference to the State Statistics Committee that during this period 24.1% of jobs were opened in the private sector, 55% in Baku, 1.8% in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 43.2% in other districts of Azerbaijan, including 14.6% in Aran, 7.3% in Ganja-Gazakh, 6.4% in Lankaran, 3.9% in Absheron, 3.7% in Sheki-Zagatala region, 2.6% in Nagorno Shirvan, 2.5% in Nagorno Karabakh, 2.1% in Guba-Khachmaz region, 0.1% in Kelbajar-Lachin economic region.

32% of new jobs are in newly established enterprises and organizations, 22.9% in existing enterprises and organizations, 0.4% in restored enterprises and organizations, and 44.7% in other activities.

51% of jobs were created by legal entities in administrative and support services, 12% in construction, 8.1% in trade; vehicle repair, 6.1% in manufacturing, 3.4% in public administration and defence; social security, 3.1% in agriculture, forestry and fisheries, 2.6% in tourist accommodation and catering, 2.2% in professional, scientific and technical activities, 1.7% in transport & warehousing, and 9.8% in other economic activities.
