Azerbaijan builds a EUR 467.5 million worth road in Europe

November 21, Fineko/abc.az. An Azerbaijani company has launched construction of a road in Serbia.

ABC.AZ reports that in this regard, a document on the construction of the Ruma-Loznica road was signed today between the government of Serbia and Azerbaijani company Azvirt.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic attended the signing ceremony.

The project cost is EUR 467.5 million. According to the agreement, the Azerbaijani company will carry out the construction of the 80 km road. Part of the Ruma to Sabajevo will be built as a roadway, and part Sabajevo-Loznica as a main highway. The project includes construction of a bridge across the Sava River.

This project is one of the road transport priorities in Serbia. 

Completion of the construction is scheduled for 2023.
