Physical inspection of vehicles and cargo decreased - Safar Mehdiyev

November 25, Fineko/abc.az. This year physical inspection of transportation vehicles and cargo at customs checkpoints has decreased by 70%.

ABC.AZ reports that the statement was made by Safar Mehdiyev, the chairman of the State Customs Committee at a meeting with members of the Azerbaijani-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry on 25 November.

He noted that with the establishment of risk management centers, trucks and vehicles are involved not in physical inspections, but in verification based on risk assessment and analysis. It is also important for trade facilitation.
