Purchase of US dollars reduced by about 20%

December 2, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 10 months of 2019 the banks and Azerpocht purchased more than $1.531 bn.

ABC.AZ reports that the data is covered by the statistical indicators on exchange operations with foreign currency cash, published by the Central Bank.

According to CBA’s report, it was also sold currency in the amount of $2.9 bn.

For comparison, for Jan-Oct 2018 the purchase of $1.7 bn was conducted and operations for $2.605 bn were carried out.

Thus, sales of US dollars to the population decreased almost by $515.255 million or 19.7%. And the volume of sales of shares to banks decreased by $169.19 million or 9.9%.
