New Iran-Azerbaijan flights to open to carry cargo and passengers


December 10, Fineko/abc.az. New flights are to be opened between Iran and Azerbaijan for transportation of cargo and passengers.

The relevant statement by Nadir Sanayi, the general director of Payam international airport in Alborz province of Iran.

He noted that during his Baku visit on 3 December he held meetings with the heads of relevant organizations of Azerbaijan. A decision was taken to organize direct flights from Payam airport to Baku.

Development of relationships between Iran and Azerbaijan promoted to economic ties, which, in turn, created demand for entering a new stage of cargo and passenger transportation. Currently, this Iranian airport carries goods and passengers in cooperation with the republics of Central Asia. Alborz region is located near Tehran.
