December 12, Fineko/abc.az. 115 bn cu m of natural gas and more than 27 million tons of condensate have been produced in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea since the beginning of the development of Shah Deniz field.
ABC.AZ reports that the statement was made by SOCAR first vice president academician Khoshbakht Yusifzade.
He noted that over the past period Azerbaijan has turned from a gas importing country into a gas exporting country.
"Time and work have confirmed the accuracy of our intentions. It is already known that the hydrocarbon reserves of Shah Deniz field consist of 1.2 trillion cu m of gas and 240 million tons of condensate. This area is one of the largest gas condensate fields discovered so far in the seas of the world."
