Excise duty on gasoline and diesel fuel increases in Uzbekistan

December 12, Fineko/abc.az. Excise tax on gasoline and diesel fuel is to be increased in Uzbekistan.

ABC.AZ reports that the increase will be applied next year.

Thus, starting from 1 April 2020 the excise tax rate on gasoline, diesel fuel, liquid gas and compressed gas sold to the final consumer will be increased in Uzbekistan. It is envisaged by the Law on State Budget 2020 signed by head of state Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Thus, the excise rate on gasoline, diesel fuel and liquid gas will be indexed at the level of 22.9% and compressed gas at 14.9%. In addition, excise tax rates on alcohol and tobacco products will double in 2020.
