December 16, Fineko/abc.az. Some time ago the Eurohome building materials store located on the Baku-Sumgait highway caught fire. This was followed by a fire at another commercial facility in Baku. This time it was not the building materials market, but businesses suffered here as well. After both fires the question of insurance of goods of businessmen in the markets arose again. After another fire, the reasons why entrepreneurs do not insure goods become more actual. This time we asked insurance expert Khayal Mammadkhanli with another question.

What prevents entrepreneurs from insuring their goods?

The insurance expert informed ABC.AZ that possibly the reduction of the market value of the property and the sum insured for tax evasion prevent them to insure goods. The expert believes that, despite this, it can not be a reason and a ground not to insure at all: "The point is that most store owners are collected money under the guise of insurance and are guided by the idea "Nothing will happen, and the money will remain to us." Or store owners think that they save on their costs, by insuring the property at a price that is many times lower than their cost," the expert said.
