December 17, Fineko/abc.az. No country in the world has a provision on compensation by the state for damage caused to the property of the population as a result of natural disasters or technical reasons.

ABC.AZ reports that the statement was made by Minister of Emergency Situations Col-Gen Kamaleddin Heydarov, when delivering speech at the event on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, referring to the topical issue of insurance of facilities and property.

He noted that compensation was paid as a result of the humane actions of President Ilham Aliyev and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to citizens who were repeatedly injured as a result of floods, earthquakes, including a fire at some shopping facilities, and houses were built for them. However, in other states this is not the case: "These questions are reflected in the legislation of the Azerbaijani state. That is, each person insures his life, builds a house, shopping centers, beautifully decorates everything. But people are careless about the issue of insurance, and unfairly want compensation from the state.

Every question is reflected in the legislation. How goods, property, both imported and produced domestically, sold in shopping centers are insured - all this is reflected in the legislation. We have mandatory insurance laws. Therefore, activities of the MES and other governmental agencies directly involved in these matters should be increased."
