Deputy PM Shahin Mustafayev: non-oil export observes rise of 14%

12:31 - 14.01.2020

January 14, Fineko/abc.az. Yesterday, on 13 January, President Ilham Aliyev held a meeting dedicated to the results of 2019.

ABC.AZ reports that speaking about Azerbaijan's relationships with its main trading partners, Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev noted that successful indicators have been achieved as a result of the work done.

According to the Deputy PM, the growth of 14% in non-oil exports was achieved as a result of this work.

Mustafayev briefly recalled that the first trade representation of Azerbaijan was created in Russia and two trade and wine houses have already been opened: "For Jan-Nov 2019 our country’s trade turnover with Russia was up to 20%, I’m sure that when the annual results are announced, it will remain approximately at the same level. The Road Map envisages the measures aimed at increasing trade with this country, as well as electronic exchange between countries, between structures, simplifying procedures, and improving infrastructure support. At the end of last year the long-awaited opening of a new bridge across the Samur River took place. I believe the implementation of this infrastructure project will have very serious positive impact on trade exchange between the two countries."
