January 15, Fineko/abc.az. The number of legal entities registered in Azerbaijan last year increased by 33.2% compared with the 2018 same term. The share of e-registration of limited liability companies with local investments grew from 81.8% up to 89%.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Taxes that 955 legal entities are registered in the State Register using e-registration (fin-code+mobile number), which is used since 2019. In other words, 8.6% of the annual registration of limited liability companies with local investments is provided in a new way.

Over the last 7 months of 2019, the share of e-registration in limited liability companies with local investments exceeded 90%. And in December this figure made up 91.6%. Since this January 167 public legal entities have passed state registration. 14,388 foreign commercial organizations were registered until 1 January 2020. Of them, 784 or 5.4% were liquidated. 604 out of 13,000 currently registered are commercial organizations with foreign investments, 2,753 are partner legal entities (established jointly with individuals and legal entities of Azerbaijan), 10,851 are enterprises with foreign investments, including 2,705 are branches or representative offices of foreign companies established in Azerbaijan.
