Fruit and vegetable export makes up 3.1% of Azerbaijan`s total export for 2019

January 21, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan exported 628.05 million tons of vegetables and fruits for $605.816 million last year (versus 7,481 tons (1.2%) for $46.188 million (8.25%) in 2018).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that fruit and vegetable export made up 3.1% of Azerbaijan's total export for the reporting period.

Thus, Azerbaijan exported 174,548 tons of tomatoes for $189.29 million to foreign countries (1% of country’s total export), 22,639 tons of hazelnuts for $125,621 (0.6%) and 96,892 tons of apples for $40.986 million (0.2%), 146,076 tons of persimmons for $104.66 million (0.5%) for 2019.
