Process of FIMSA merging with Central Bank completed fully - EXCLUSIVE

January 21, Fineko/abc.az. Last year the Financial Market Supervision Authority (FIMSA) was abolished and its powers were transferred to the Central Bank last year. This procedure has already been fully finished.

ABC.AZ was informed on the occasion at the Central Bank.

In response to our portal’s request, the CBA reported that in compliance with the presidential decree from 28 November 2019 "On improvement of management of the system of regulation & control in the financial services market", the process of FIMSA-CBA merger has been ended fully. Thus, structural divisions have already been formed that operate in the sphere of regulation and supervision of financial markets and work with consumers.
