Oil rises in price after sharp decline the day before, Azeri Light falls by $1.23

January 24, Fineko/abc.az. Oil prices are rising on Friday after a significant drop in the previous session on Thursday.

On Thursday, the price of Brent oil fell to the lowest since 3 December and WTI oil to the lowest level since 29 November.

Following the trading on 23 January, March’s Brent oil futures at the London ICE Futures Exchange fell in price by $1.17 (1.85%) to $62.04 per barrel. Its price increased by $0.28 (0.45%), to $62.32 per barrel by 9:20 am.

Following the trading on 23 January at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), March’s WTI futures fell by $1.15 (2.03%) to $55.59 per barrel. WTI futures for March rose by $0.26 (0.47%) to $55.85 per barrel by 9:20 am.

The price of Azeri Light oil fell by $1.23 (1.84%) to $65.71 per barrel.
