January 27, Fineko/abc.az. According to the State Border Service, 3.17 million foreigners and stateless persons from 193 countries of the world arrived in Azerbaijan in 2019 (by 11.3% more against 2018).

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that 29.4% of the visitors were citizens of the Russian Federation, 22.9% were citizens of Georgia, 10.0% of Turkey, 8.1% of Iran, 3.4% of Saudi Arabia, 2.2% of the UAE, 2.1% of India, and 1.9% of Ukraine.

Men made up 66.6% and women 33.4% of them. The growth in the number of arrivals in our country in 2019 was recorded among citizens of Turkmenistan (84.2%), India (66.8%), China (62.4%), Egypt (55.6%), Malaysia (54.9%), Saudi Arabia (46.3%), Hungary (33.6%), Poland (31.1%).

At the same time, the rate of arrivals from the EU member states increased by 21.3% up to 136,500 people, from CIS countries by 9.3% up to 1.14 million people, while from the Persian Gulf countries decreased by 0.9% (against 2018) up to 549,000 people.
