Oil prices rise, and Azeri Light grows by $1

January 29, Fineko/abc.az. Oil is getting more expensive on Wednesday based on information about the decline in US stocks, and expectations that OPEC+ countries will be able to take measures to maintain oil prices.

Following the trading on 28 January, March’s Brent oil futures at the London ICE Futures Exchange rose in price by $0.19 (0.32%) up to $59.51 per barrel. Its price increased by $0.76 (1.28%) up to $60.27 per barrel by 9:20 am.

Following the trading on 28 January at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), March’s WTI futures rose by $0.34 (0.64%) up to $53.48 per barrel. WTI futures for March am rose by $0.69 (1.29%) to $54.17 per barrel by 9:20 am.

The price of Azeri Light oil rose by $1.09 (1.73%) up to 63.95 per barrel.
