January 31, Fineko/abc.az. Expert economist Rovshan Agayev has commented on the occasion of the responses of Central Bank’s chairman Elman Rustamov at today's press conference.

ABC.AZ reports that on his page in the social network Agayev stressed that the chief banker skillfully avoids matters that require transparency and openness of information.

As an example, the expert noted that the CBA chair also “did not considered it necessary to disclose the statistics of the international investment position, which reflects data on external assets and liabilities of all institutional units in the economy, although this matter was raised".

Agayev broguth another example as well: "A question was asked about the share of loans in the real sector – and again the answer was inaccurate: more than 90%. Though in the CBA’s statistical database this indicator is calculated by year. The share of small and medium-sized businesses in lending was not discussed at all, while it is very important to provide separate information about trends that occur in the dynamics of lending and the percentage level depending on the size of the business."
